Health Information Library within a Level I Pediatric Hospital

The Emily Center, located at Phoenix Children's, is a source of information about children's health. The Emily Center has had a presence on the hospital campus for over 30 years and has developed a robust collection of books, AV resources, designed for health literate education for patients, families and the Community. In addition, the nurse specialists work to create pediatric specialized/individualized packets of information on a wide range of topics in English and Spanish, from complex medical diagnoses to psycho-social and mental health issues. Progress in education to reach all patient populations include electronic services, mobile apps, and a presence on Twitter to provide the community with the latest information in pediatric health care.
